iRail Summer of code 2013

open Summer of code 2013 (#oSoc13) will be organised during the first 3 weeks of July.

iRail Summer of code will this year be organised by the Open Knowledge Foundation Belgium. As iRail is the open transport working group at OKFN Belgium, iRail Summer of code will still be organised as a part of Summer of code, focusing on transport. This gives the Summer of code a broader spectrum and a rebranding to simply the Summer of code.

More information

open Summer of code (#oSoc13) is an event where students are hired during the first three weeks of July to work, as a summer job, on open projects. Furthermore, they all work in the same place, allowing cross-pollination between the projects. In order to finance these students, other organisations can sponsor OKFN Belgium (vzw/asbl) to work on a project of choice.
